Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
