The families of teens unaccounted for after a tragic inferno at a venue in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an excruciating wait for official news and pleading for information about their family members publicly.

The inferno devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed video reveal the ceiling catching alight as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have stated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and wounded another over a hundred. Officials stated on Friday that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with work continuing to identify the remaining few.
